As you may or may not know, Joe has endured a life-long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease. Just recently he has undergone a complete lung transplant in New York City at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. We are having this fundraiser on behalf of Joe and his family to help assist with the many expenses that such a medical procedure entails. The recovery period can be up to 2 years or more following the surgery.
